Who We Are
We’re a small, skilled joinery business based in the Wairarapa, building honest, functional, and good-looking spaces for people who care about quality.
Led by Bryan White, Habitat was born from a belief that the best work isn’t mass-produced—it’s measured, cut, and crafted to fit your space, your life, and your vision. We take on projects big and small across the Wairarapa and greater Wellington region, working with homeowners, designers, architects, and builders who value clear communication and reliable results.
What We Stand For
We keep things simple:
- Do it right, or don’t do it at all.
- Treat people with respect.
- Leave things better than we found them.
That means we turn up on time, we clean up properly, and we’re not here to sell you something you don’t need. If we say we’ll do it, we do it. And if something’s not right, we fix it.
What Makes Us Different
- No Sales Pitch: We’re not trying to upsell. We’re here to build what you need—and make sure it lasts.
- One Point of Contact: You deal with the person actually doing the work, not a middleman.
- Custom Craftsmanship: Every job is tailored, not templated.
- Real-World Functionality: Built for real homes, real families, and real use.
The Workshop Dog
Yes, there’s a dog. His name’s George. He’s in charge of morale and morning smoko patrols.
Where We Work
We’re proud to serve the entire Wairarapa—Masterton, Carterton, Greytown, Martinborough and beyond—plus the greater Wellington area. If you’re not sure if we’ll come to you, just ask.
